8 Less Obvious Reasons Bringing the WNBA to Toronto Is a Great Move

1 – Tim Hortons now has the perfect excuse to release a special edition Tempo Timbit 12-pack with fold-out basketball hoop packaging you can shoot your Timbit into.

2 – Drake will finally have something to do during the summer.

3 - Visiting WNBA teams staying at the X Hotel can leave their own oddly specific reviews on Google about the Starbucks baristas in the lobby.

4 – One day, the EX, Toronto FC, and the Toronto Tempo might all play on the same day, just so we can see how high parking prices on Lakeshore can actually go.

5 – It’s the perfect chance for the Coca-Cola Coliseum to revive the old Raptors Sprite Zone cheap seat section. (Historically, the Sprite Zone at Raptors games was a section in the corners of the ACC, with the cheapest tickets.)

6 – New players won’t have nearly as much to complain about Canada when they only live here during the summer months, unlike NBA players who stick it out through winter.

7 – Visiting players will finally get their first taste of ketchup chips—and hopefully overdose on them pre-game.

8 – The CN Tower will no longer be the only “tall thing with a ball” in the city.
